LIFTING NOVELTY AT MOTEK
NEWS RELEASELIFTING NOVELTY AT MOTEK
Bangalore, India 27 August 2008
‘It is an ideal arrangement for lifting tables and platforms.’ according to CEO Mr. R. Seshagiri., ‘we simply skip a whole number of connecting elements, installation will become so much easier’, he continues. ‘These worm gear jacks are ideal to make synchronous movements at more places at the same time. This new design includes ease of alignment and space reduction. Together, additional traits that designers and installation companies will value’, according to Seshagiri.
Gears and Gear Drives present a newly designed simple arrangement by integrating a bevel gearbox to a cubical screw jack to turn the drive through 90°. In fact it is a two-fold angle gear drive with worm screw actuation.
The picture shows two standard cubical screw jacks and two cubical screw jacks with integrated bevel gearbox. They are driven by a single motor.
Synchronous movement can best be achieved by mechanical connections. This is proven for many applications all over the industry.
Over decades worm screw jacks, bevel gearboxes and other transmission elements have been used in such lifting systems. Ever since there have been consistent efforts to improve the performance, reduce the size and space, eliminate several connecting parts. The ultimate goal is to achieve simplicity and economics in the lifting system.
Gears and Gear Drives will demonstrate their solution at the coming MOTEK exhibition in Stuttgart from 22 – 25 September 2008. Their stall number is 6234 in Hall 6.
